Soldier

Years of rigorous and merciless training have forged battle-hardened warriors exceptionally crafted for relentless combat. These fierce individuals are referred to as Soldiers. This unique class possesses unmatched efficiency when wielding both firearms and melee weapons with remarkable skill. This, combined with their deep affinity for a variety of skills, as well as their extensive knowledge regarding mechanics and technology, makes them well-prepared for pretty much any encounter that comes their way. So, grab a trusty rifle and sword, hop into a rugged truck, and charge boldly into the fray, ready to face whatever challenges await!

Soldier are provided with well-rounded stats, and many skill points, making them incredibly useful. Where the lack the most; however, is their views on magic. This class shares opinions on this enigmatic force with Brawlers, “It’s rediculous. Why bother with wild incantations when I can just shoot it?”. Unlike Brawlers, Soldiers have actually trained against these forces, aware of the inevitability of encountering such a thing. For this reason, those who follow this class are given a choice. They can either renounce all things magic and focus on other things, or dabble a little bit in the mystic arts, with the hope that it will do them some good.

Magic or Abilities? As mentioned, when choosing to follow this class, you are given a choice. If you choose to renounce magic, you will be unable to make any Mystic skill checks for any reason, making it impossible to use scrolls and various other magical items. You will also be unable to use any magical properties that require activation, such as talismans and many unique magical items. In exchange, you will be allowed to learn an Ability at level 1. The alternative is to dabble in the mystic arts. This will mean that you can use the Mystic skill just like everyone else, as well as attempt to use every single magical item you come across. The down side to this option is that you will not be able to gain an Ability until you reach level 30. Choose wisely.
